Deadbolts

A Deadbolt has a bolt that must be activated by a key or thumb turn. These offer a higher level of security because the latch is not spring activated and therefore cannot be “jimmed”open with an object like a knife.

There are both single cylinder and double cylinder deadbolts available at Homewatch Security Services.

Single Cylinder Deadbolts

A single cylinder deadbolt is activated by a key on the exterior side of the door and a thumb turn on the inside of the door.

Double Cylinder Deadbolts

A double cylinder deadbolt is key activated on both sides of the door.
